Walkers admiring the view on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path

Coast Path Walking Coming next in 2026!

We spend our time dreaming up quirky ideas for lesser-known coastal areas all of which have their own personalities as well as the world-renowned coastal paths that need very little introduction.

Here’s our schedule for the new launches – famous and unknown.

May 2026

Trails of the Victorian Seaside. 7 days.

Blackpool - the ultimate Victorian seaside resort - shows Blackpool tower and both piers
An aerial photograph of the Victorian resort of Blackpool featuring Blackpool tower and the piers. The photograph was produced on a gloriously sunny day with blue skies which enhanced the golden no colour of the sandy beach.

Walk from Liverpool to Morecambe through the seaside resorts the Victorians built and adored. Think beachside promenades, boating lakes, mile-long beaches, wild sand dunes and then you have Blackpool (main image) with its in-your-face brashness. It’s very, very English, reflecting a faded glory from a by-gone era and some beautiful spots you might find surprising – from outstanding beauty on Formby Beach to the Edwardian Grade II listed town of Lytham (where our MD grew up). You’ll start in Liverpool, which should need no introduction as the home of the Beatles and the Ferry Across the Mersey. A really quirky walking holiday featuring an adorable tackiness that only the English (arguably) can pull off. Unique to Coast Walk Paths.

Features local train hops between some sections too.

Can be split into two sections – 3 days from Liverpool to Southport and 4 days Southport to Morecambe.

The Jersey Tidal Trail – 7 days

Wonderful bay in Jersey, Portelet Bay, on the Jersey Tidal Trail
Stunning Portelet Bay on the Jersey Tidal Trail

The Jersey Tidal Trail is a 48‑mile circumnavigation of the entire coast of the largest of the channel islands, Jersey.  Jersey’s coast is shaped by some of the world’s biggest tides, transforming twice daily as vast tides expose causeways, reefs, and seabeds. Walkers encounter rugged cliffs, golden beaches, tidal islands, and historic sites including medieval castles and WWII bunkers. This is a uniquely dynamic coastal adventure where the island almost doubles in size at low tide, offering ever‑changing scenery and a strong sense of Jersey’s natural and cultural history.

The South West Coast Path – Devon & Dorset sections – both 8 days

The family walking along the coast path in Devon on the South West Coast Path
The South West Coast Path in Devon is perfect for family walking. Here’s a stunning path on the coastline near Lynmouth in Devon, England, UK

Two very lovely and classic sections of the SWCP – and surprisingly diverse given that the two counties sit next door to each other.  For Devon think rugged cliffs and surf beaches; while Dorset delivers Jurassic Coast drama.

The Devon stretch of the South West Coast Path mixes high cliffs, wooded combes, and sweeping surf beaches. Highlights are Exmoor’s dramatic coastline, the Taw–Torridge estuary, and lively seaside towns like Woolacombe and Ilfracombe. It’s a varied and often strenuous route with big ascents but unforgettable sea views.

Dorset’s section forms the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for fossil-rich cliffs, chalk stacks, and sweeping bays. The path runs toward Poole through iconic landscapes such as Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. Expect dramatic geology, rolling downs, and some of the most distinctive coastal scenery on the entire trail.

The final addition of Dorset and Devon means from 14th September 2026 you can book the entire South West Coast Path with us. Please note it takes about 2-3 weeks to book in a trip along all 7 weeks – it’s hard work to get all the accommodation aligned. Only serious requests please and we do need a good non-refundable deposit of £250 per person. If for any reason we can’t make it work, then this of course is refunded to you. A real and proper English walking challenge.

Pembrokeshire Coast Path North – 8 days

Walking the Pembrokeshire Coast Path near St David's
Walking through the drama. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path near St. Davids

In some ways, we’ve left the best to last with this third section of the northern Pembrokeshire Coast Path – it’s wildest, steepest, and most dramatic stretch

The North Pembrokeshire section runs from St Dogmaels to Fishguard, offering rugged volcanic cliffs, remote coves, and physically demanding ascents. It includes the path’s most challenging stage, with frequent steep climbs between Poppit Sands and Newport. The scenery remains striking—rocky outcrops, heather, gorse, grazing ponies, and regular sightings of seals and seabirds. This northern stretch feels remote and elemental, showcasing some of the most dramatic coastal landscapes in Wales.

September 2026

Cumbria Coastal Path – in the footsteps of the Romans – 5 days.

Maryport in West Cumbria on a sunny day on the King Charles III Coast Path

The King Charles III Coast Path from Whitehaven to Carlisle follows the gentle Cumbria coastline past Workington, Maryport, Allonby, Silloth, and Burgh by Sands before reaching Carlisle. The Romans used Maryport (pictured)as one of their significant military sites, named Alauna, and it acted as a command and supply base for the coastal defence of Hadrian’s Wall around AD22. Nowadays you can expect harbour towns, broad estuary landscapes, and Solway Firth vistas and a very Cumbrian welcome. The final route follows the historic path of Hadrian’s Wall, offering easy navigation and varied scenery along beaches, dunes, and the River Eden. Unique to Coast Walk Paths.

This means, excitingly, from September 2026, that you can walk with Coast Path Walks from Liverpool to Carlisle and we can facilitate your walk for the final 10 miles all the way to the Scottish border!

Of course we’ll keep on developing the UK’s wonderful coast over the winter 2026 so watch this space for more classics, more quirks and maybe a trip over the Irish Sea to our neighbouring island, Ireland, where our adventures will continue. See the image below to whet your appetite!
